Camp Theme
Céline, our riding instructor, passionate about the story and the characters of the novels of J.R.R. Tolkien, invites you on a great adventure!
Combine the practice of riding and the discovery of the « Middle-Earth », Gondor the refuge of men, the county where the hobbits live, and Rohan, the wonderful land of the Elves, and finally « Mordor » where the forces of evil directed by Sauron are concentrated.
A story, a scenario built with the children will lead to the representation of an equestrian show at the end of the stay on the occasion of which the ring of power will be found and destroyed in the flames of Mordor, thus giving freedom to all the peoples of Middle-earth!

Activities
EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES (4 sessions of 2 hours)
Located in the woods, next to our holiday center, the Equestrian center « Qualina » has many assets. It is a pony club with a family atmosphere where the welfare of the ponies is a priority. Children are involved in the daily life of the club, the maintenance and care of the ponies.
They are grouped by level, and they keep the same pony for the whole stay. Personalized learning and positive teaching!
– Horseback archery:
Like the Elves, you will acquire the precision of the gesture and the grace of the movements (Arcs Soft Archery),
– Chivalry:
Like the people of Rohan, you will learn to wield your (wooden!) sword on your horse in preparation for the show
« MIDDLE-EARTH » WORKSHOPS:
– Making of a wooden sword: Assembled and decorated according to the character chosen by the child,
– Elvish calligraphy: Write your name in Elvish calligraphy!
– Gardening: Like a Hobbit, participates in the maintenance of the vegetable garden of the hamlet,
– Construction of huts: Hobbits ‘huts or huts in trees like elves…!
– Modeling workshop: Sculpt and model the clay and see the character of your choice appear…
– Costume and makeup workshop: Prepare your costume for the big show! Will you be a dwarf, an elf or a hobbit?
– Cooking workshop: Prepare and bake pies in the village’s old bread oven.

Field Trips
– Horse riding trip in « the Middle Earth »:
Discover the wild and preserved region of the Sorgues Valley and let your imagination run wild … You will soon see the hobbits hidden behind the trees and dwarves in the hollow of the rocks!
Camp Location: « LE HAMEAU DE MOULÈS »
FONDAMENTE is a small village in the Aveyron department in southern France.
Accommodation: Children sleep in individual « Gîtes » (typical houses) offering rooms with 4 to 8 beds with shower facilities (100 beds total/ 14 Gîtes total in the village).
TRANSPORTATION: With the VSF group (and the French children) by TGV train from Paris to Montpellier (escorted by the camp staff) – transfer by shuttle bus to the camp site.
