TRANSPORTATION PROCEDURES
The following Transportation schedules and procedures apply to all VSF Campers. Your child’s “TRANSPORTATION FORM” will be sent to you by email in April.
It is with this form that you will confirm what your final plans will be regarding transportation.

TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULES & PROCEDURES 2024

YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS:
✔ OPTION 1: CHILDREN FLYING UNACCOMPANIED TO PARIS
Full supervision by the VSF Team.
Children flying unaccompanied TO PARIS must arrive 2 days prior to their departure to camp. They stay 2 nights at our selected hotels where they are fully supervised by the VSF Team (1st night at the airport, second night in Paris).
BOOKING YOUR CHILDREN’S FLIGHTS ACCORDINGLY:
INBOUND FLIGHTS: JULY 6, 2024
Campers’ arrival flight must arrive at the Charles de Gaulle airport on July 6, 2024.
Our Team will be present at the Airport to PICK UP campers from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. We ask parents to schedule flights to arrive or leave during these hours.
OUTBOUND FLIGHTS: JULY 18 or JULY 28, 2024
When they return from camp, our Team will welcome the children at the train station upon arrival and they will be transferred to the hotel located at the Charles de Gaulle Airport by private taxi. The next morning, after breakfast, they will be accompanied to the airport for check in (full supervision by the VSF Team).
Campers’ return flight must depart from CDG airport on July 18 or July 28, 2024. Our team will be available to assist campers with CHECK IN from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. We ask parents to schedule flights to depart from Paris during these hours. Please book your flights accordingly.
✔ OPTION 2: CHECK-IN DIRECTLY AT OUR SELECTED HOTEL IN PARIS: JULY 7, 2024
Parents can choose to bring their children to our selected hotel in Paris and check them in with the VSF Team one day prior to their train departure to camp. Our hotel is located near Gare de Lyon.
Check in at the hotel will be JULY 7, 2024 between 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
Our Team will be there to welcome you and your family!
“INTEGRATION DAY” for the VSF Group IN PARIS (July 7th):
This day of « integration » is very important. After a long trip, children can rest and get to know the team and meet other VSF campers. It is a good preparation prior to their departure to camp!
DEPARTURES TO THE CAMPS will be early in the morning by TGV train from Paris Gare de Lyon on JULY 8, 2024.
✔ OPTION 3: CHECK-IN DIRECTLY AT THE CAMP LOCATION: JULY 8, 2024
Parents can choose to bring their children directly at the camp location.
Times of drop off at the camps: from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm for our camps in the Alps (Chatel) and between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm for all other camps. If you choose to bring your child to the camp, a member of the (French) camp staff will welcome you and your family at the center. Please note that the VSF Team will be in Paris not at the camp locations on dates of arrivals.

✔ NOTE ON THE RETURNS FROM CAMP: Parents can pick up their children upon arrival directly at the train station in PARIS or at the camp location.

OUR HOTEL IN PARIS
Our selected hotels are ideally located at the CDG airport (Day 1), and in the center of Paris near the train station (Day 2).
They offer a warm atmosphere where design goes hand in hand with friendliness and simplicity. They provide a perfect, peaceful place for our campers to enjoy their stay in Paris. All VSF Campers stay together on the same floor and are supervised by the VSF team (2 to 4 campers per room). Breakfast is included.

TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE CAMPS
Transportation to the camps is supervised by the camp Staff.
For ALL VSF Camps:
> By TGV train train from Paris, departures are early in the morning.
Arrival at camp in the afternoon, transfers to the camps are by private shuttles. For the returns, trains usually arrive in Paris in the evening.

If you would like the opportunity to visit one of our holiday centers, please let us know, we will be happy to schedule a short visit at the beginning or at the end of a camp session.
(Please note that during camp, parental visits are not permitted.)
